The power II
The Power of the Wave These works were inspired by trips to Harris, Lewis, Orkney, and Shetland. Initially from a trip to Harris when, after a Gale, the seas were wild for days. I was fascinated by the water, patterns of the droplets and layers of waves into the distance. The sea churning up the sand as they arrived on the shore and the dark skies with shards of light contrasting with light coming through the waves. Many watercolour sketches were made and hundreds of photographs taken.
